IBM BladeCenter Integrated Manager

Operating systems: Windows® 2003 Server or Linux® SUSE 10 Sp1

Hardware: IBM® BladeCenter® S and IBM Blade Server

1. Make sure all the prerequisites are installed.
2. It is strongly recommend that you install IBM BladeCenter Integrated Manager on the hot spare blade server. Follow the instructions for your operating system:
   • Windows:
     1. Open a Windows command prompt and enter the folder %BiB_Install_Src%.
     2. Execute the install.bat file, which will then be installed in the folder %PROGRAMFILES%\ibm\bib\.
   • Linux:
     1. Open a Linux shell terminal.
     2. Enter the folder %BiB_Install_Src%.
     3. Execute the install.sh file, which will then be installed in the folder /opt/ibm/bib/.
3. Start IBM BladeCenter Integrated Manager by using the scripts in the folder %BiB_HOME%/bib/bin. The default user account is USERID and the password is PASSW0RD (number zero, not the letter O). For more detailed information, refer to the User's Guide in the %BiB_Install_Src%/docs folder.
